Biology ftw.

![]() Ok so today I went to the Science Centre from 7.30a.m. to 5.30p.m. and it was really funnnnnn. Altogether there were 4 parts in the entire trip and they were about Biology, Sound, Physics, and Digital shit. Biology one was awesome cos I <3 bio and I don't know why but I'm quite good at it. Don't ask me why, I just knew that the insect in front of me was a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach and that weird hopping insect was a cricket. Anyway the rest was just normal, lectures lectures and more lectures. The next part was the Sound lecture. Its just boring. Plain boring. Sound travels in waves, made by vibrations, blablabla. Physics one was kewl, even though I don't like Physics, but this one was about PAPER AIRPLANES!!! There were these DAMN AWESOME planes and I really liked one that looked like a gear and it would just roll in the air while it falls to the ground. The really cool thing was that if you pushed air gently to it while its falling down, like just by putting a book behind it and walking, it would REMAIN IN THE SAME POSITION. WHAT IN THE FLYING SHOE. But it was really hard to maintain it, so usually you could only go for about 8 seconds. And they taught us how to make this plane called the Nakaruma Lock, which basically looks like your usual paper airplane but its a bit different. The Nakaruma Lock was simple to make, and it could fly pretty far if you folded it properly. And if you folded the back of the wings up, for example, The plane woud last longer cos it would actually climb up while its flying. But if you folded it down, the plane would do the opposite. Also, if you folded the back of the plane left, it would swerve to the left while flying and vice versa. To find out more about paper airplanes and how to fold them, check out this website: http://www.thepaperairplaneguy.com/ Next we had the Digital part, which was one of my favourites. We went into this computer lab, and there were computers, four back-to-back on one table, and they could be locked and unlocked by the teacher, which was kind of irritating cos he did it whenever we were noisy. The class was about Adaption, and it was awesome cos this teacher used Ben 10 as an example, you know, like if Heatblast was at the North Pole it could NOT survive, and so on. He also taught us about how each Ben 10 alien resembled a REAL animal, and that animal's special features which were used for survival in their harsh habitats. Ripjaws resembled the Deep Sea Anglefish and the shark, and stuff. After that we got to play SPORE which is a really awesome game that I had coincedentally asked my friend to lend to me today. We took photos of our creatures and had them printed and took them home as a souvenier. The trip was really awesome, and the bus journey from Jurong to Bedok takes 1 hour so we could just play and talk with our friends, hell yeah. ![]() Recycling a 3 foot stack of newspapers can save one whole tree.
